Friday Finds :: Day After Xmas Shopping

DSC_1097Going shopping on the day after Christmas has become a pretty solid tradition around here. I always look forward to browsing the sales, even when I don’t have anything in mind that I need. This year, I kind of wanted to get some new sneakers, but didn’t have a whole lot of luck with that. The purchase I’m most excited about is the First Aid Beauty kit I picked up from Sephora. The funny thing is, I came really close to getting one for myself, my mom and my sister for Christmas and then we all ended up buying one on our shopping trip! I had heard really good things about the brand and then the Sephora employee gave a rave review, so I was officially sold. A few days in and I’m loving this stuff!

My best bargain award goes to the folded base tote bag I got from H&M. It’s from the Maison Martin Margiela collection, which I didn’t know much about and assumed had long been sold out. This bag was thrown in with all the other totes and marked down to…$20! I honestly don’t think I would have noticed it if it weren’t for the red sale sticker and I certainly wouldn’t have bought it for the original $199! A (kind of weird) leather bag for $20 was too good to pass up. I think it will make for a good airport bag. Did any of you brave the crowds after Christmas? Any good bargains??

Couldn’t resist the sparkle! I just had to stop myself from scrolling through your blog because I really should be getting to sleep by now! Thanks for stopping by : )

Ah, the Margiela bag is fab! The collab with H&M wasn’t as stellar as past collabs, but amazing that you scored that bag for $20! Anything from Margiela is just obscenely expensive. Awesome find!

I was kind of stunned when I saw the $20 sticker! I was prepared for it to ring up at a different price even though it was very clearly marked. Didn’t appear to be a very popular collection…there were still quite a few bags left even at the bargain price!
